Shingle Inn supports Mater Little Miracles
With family values at its core, Shingle Inn is committed to helping other families, especially at Christmas.
This Christmas we’ve chosen to support Mater Little Miracles, helping sick babies and children who spend the festive season in hospital.
Each year, the community funded Mater Little Miracles program impacts 15,000 children who are cared for as inpatients at Mater Children’s Hospital as well as 120,000 children who are cared for as outpatients and 32,000 children and babies who receive emergency care.
To raise money Shingle Inn will sell Mater’s $2 Christmas wish baubles and have donation tins on display throughout December.
“Our goal is to raise $6,000 throughout our Queensland stores,” says Marketing Manager Amelia Powles. “We kick-started the fundraising effort with a dress-up day and were able to secure some great donations to set us on the path to achieving our goal.”
Shingle Inn’s 24 Queensland stores all got dressed up with photographs supplied by Shingle Inn at Garden City, Mt Ommaney, Caloundra and Sunshine Plaza which were also posted on Facebook to celebrate getting into the Christmas and fundraising spirit.
“Even Mater Little Miracles’ Miracle Max was out helping to fundraise at Shingle Inn Mt Ommaney. He helped create a great atmosphere with more than $200 raised at Mt Ommaney on that day alone.”
Funds donated to Mater Little Miracles are used for world class research and lifesaving equipment that help to make little miracles happen every day.
