Raising money for The Wesley Hospital's Kim Walters Choices Program (Choices) is the way in which Shingle Inn chooses to give back to South East Queensland's community.

Choices is a free community service, regardless of where treatment has been undertaken, offering support for women and men diagnosed with breast cancer and women diagnosed with gynaecological cancers and their families and is unique in its multi-disciplinary, holistic approach to caring for people coping with a cancer diagnosis.

Choices is dedicated to the memory of Kim Walters, wife of Brisbane Broncos assistant coach Kevin Walters, who believed that support and understanding result from women sharing their experience of breast cancer. Kevin's continued involvement as Patron honours Kim's memory and their shared vision.

Each year, during Think Pink Think Choices Week in July, Shingle Inn donates funds from the sale of pink Patty Cakes and specially crafted Think Pink Single Layer Cakes to the Choices program, knowing that the funds directly help women, men and their families in the local community.
