Best friends Annette Kirby and Kathy Nau believed a combination of their prior business experience, and Kathy's cooking background, was all the foundation they needed to collaborate with the support and reputation of Shingle Inn's National Office, to create "the" cafe destination in Caloundra.
With today's often fast-pace, cafe culture, Annette and Kathy suggest their alfresco coastal cafe allows patrons an opportunity to simply sit back, relax and enjoy Shingle Inn's trademark service, style and deliciously decedent delights.
"We're always working hard to create a passionate, fun team focussed on customer service," says Kathy.
"This ensures every person visiting our store leaves not only with a great impression of our food and coffee, but also with a smile on their faces, having thoroughly enjoyed the experience," says Annette. |

Barista of the Year

Caloundra Shingle Inn barista, Isaac Bordonaro, is turning up the heat in preparation for the Shingle Inn Barista of the Year competition, later this month.
"I've been making coffee for as long as I can remember," said Mr Bordonaro. "When I was a kid, while I used to think cappuccinos consisted of instant coffee and a shaken up milk carton for the froth - now I know much better, using special techniques to ensure my milk is satin like, and I also like to 'free pour' my latte art."
