"I have always wanted to own a coffee shop," says Alex McMillan, franchise of Shingle Inn Carindale.
After working seven years as the Operations Director for his own I.T. based company in South Africa, the Scottish born Mr McMillan says that when the opportunity to run the Carindale cafe came up, sparks of excitement flew.
"While I enjoyed my work, I was becoming tired of the intense corporate world, so started looking for a way to change my lifestyle and accommodate a more social career path," says Alex.
"I'm a people person who loves a challenge and a good chat, so combine that with a sweet tooth and a sweet personality, working in Queensland's most iconic cafe just seems to be the right fit for me."
The father of two says he's always held strong family values; just one reason why the Shingle Inn franchise opportunity was so tempting.
"Shingle Inn has a mature heritage, a strong, core business vision and wonderful family values, which I admire," says Alex. |
