Indooroopilly Shingle Inn barista, Sharon Van der Mer, was a finalist in the Shingle Inn Barista of the Year Competition.

While the 29-year-old café Supervisor only joined Shingle Inn five months ago, she's already created quite a "stir" with her coffee creations.

"I absolutely love coffee and am passionate about creating beautiful coffee for all of our customers to enjoy," said Miss Van der Mer. "I've been a barista for six years now, and after spending about five hours each day at the machine, it would seem practice makes perfect!" "
