High Tea
Generations of families since 1936 have shared memorable occasions at Shingle Inn, celebrating engagements, birthdays or just making the everyday special.
For those special occasions when you want to share memorable moments with your friends or family, treat yourself with a well-deserved experience and indulge in our signature Shingle Inn High Tea or delightful Kids High Tea.
With our Signature Shingle Inn High tea, you and your guests will enjoy a range of petite sweets, delicate ribbon sandwiches and a traditional scone with jam and fresh cream. Your choice of coffee or leaf tea and our famous Lime Mint Julep or glass of sparkling wine (licensed stores only) completes this very special experience.
Our Kids High Tea is fit for any Prince or Princess and includes a ribbon ham sandwich, marshmallow stick, yummy mini sausage roll, cute Kid’s Spotty Cookie and Kids Shake or Babychino.
Shingle Inn High Tea is served daily to order. Bookings are not required, however we encourage you to book in advance to avoid any disappointment. As a courtesy, bookings are requested for any large groups.

“I’ve been going to the Shingle Inn since my early 20s when I used to work in the city and we’d go there for cupcakes to bring back for the office. Now we go to Shingle Inn Mt Ommaney which is just a two minute drive away and my three kids love the little high tea there. We always have one of their high teas because the kids love the milkshakes, the cookies and cupcakes, and especially the little ham sandwiches. It’s an affordable treat for them and when we go with my mum Drene – their grandma who is 69 – it’s a special family time for the three generations and that’s our special day together.”
